Passignano Cooking Classes

Your private English-speaking driver will be at your full disposal after picking you up from your hotel in downtown Florence or other location of your preference in the city centre. A pleasant journey will be taking you along the beautiful Tuscan roads to then arrive in the Passignano estate. The vineyards around the Abbey are owned by a traditional Florentine family that produces the famous Chianti Classico Riserva, being the wine aged in the cellars under the monastery. The restaurant is considered to be one of the most beautiful and high quality restaurants of the Chianti region, being awarded one star Michelin.

Carefully designed for those who love to discover the secrets of the Tuscan kitchen, being experts or just passionate about Italian cuisine, we gladly offer you the following private programs with a super qualified private English-speaking chef at your full disposal:

 

The Secrets of the Stars
Every day (except Sundays) at 9.30 am or 3.30 pm (duration approx. 6 hours)
Meet at the Antinori premises. In your private Cooking class with the head-chef on your full disposal you will receive a "take-home" recipe book; preparation of a 4-course menu (starter, pasta, main course with side dishes and a dessert). The course will take place in English. During the lesson you will taste Pecorino cheeses of varying maturity, balsamic vinegars, as well as the prestigious Amedei chocolate. You will also receive a diploma testifying your participation. From the school you will travel to Badia a Passignano where you will have lunch or dinner eating the menu you have prepared, combined with Antinori wines and preceded by an extra-virgin olive oil tasting. A visit to the Historic cellars of Badia a Passignano will follow.

 

 

Your own dedicated Chef
Every day (except Sundays) from 9.30 am or 3.30 pm (duration approx 6 hours)
Meet at the Antinori premises. Your private chef will design a tailor made class for you according to your wishes and desires. You will also receive a diploma testifying your participation. From the school you will travel to Badia a Passignano where you will have lunch or dinner eating the menu you have prepared, combined with Antinori wines and preceded by an extra-virgin olive oil tasting. A visit to the Historic cellars of Badia a Passignano will follow.

 

 

A Chef in Your own Home
Every day (except Sundays)
Are you staying in Chianti and you have a lovely home? Our Chef will be happy to come to you bringing with him the charm of the Osteria di Passignano. Together you will prepare a four-course meal for which you will receive recipes in a practical booklet written in English. During the lesson you will taste Pecorino cheese of varying maturity, balsamic vinegars and the prestigious Amedei chocolate. You will also receive a diploma testifying your participation. Lunch or dinner will take place at your home, savoring the menu you have prepared, combined with Antinori wines and preceded by an extra-virgin olive oil tasting.

 

* The rates include private transfer with pick-up and drop-off in Florence downtown.

 

Terms of Payment

Visa or MasterCard. A card holder name is necessary, as well as a credit card number, expiry date, ccv (the last 3 digits on the back of the card) in order to proceed with the booking.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations more than 60 working days before the visit date will be subject to a 30% penalty of the total amount. Cancellations less than 60 working days before the visit date will not be refundable.
